Chicago is full of unexpected beauty. Who would think that a steelyard and power lines could create such a fantastic background? Well...I guess I did. ;)
This is an outfit I'll be wearing a lot this fall, no doubt. A knit poncho, the heavy texture of fur, a structured bag, and paper bag khakis? Yes, please. The best part is that all the clothing pieces were under $50 each. My boots were a wee bit more, but I saved for those!
There is one more thing I'm wearing that was more than $50, I'll admit......
It's my engagement ring! (insert girlish scream)
I won't embarrass my fiance (whoa) by giving all the details, but I will say everything about our moment was perfect. We're so excited!
I'm sure I will share a few plans and photos here on Fauxshionable, but I promise my main message won't change.
Here's to the future!
Outfit: Poncho: Old Navy, Pants: H&M, Fur shrug: Vintage/thrifted, Boots: Christian Louboutin, Purse: thrifted, Sunglasses: Banana Republic

Ahh! Congratulations Whitney ~ SO happy for you! Such an exciting time now ~ live it up! xoxo
Oh my gosh, that's very exciting! Can we get a closeup of the ring sometime? :) Engagements are so much fun, enjoy yours to the max!
On to the topic at hand: I am loving everything about this post, from the photo backdrops to every bit of your outfit. I love the way you're wearing the paper bag pants, without looking dumpy. Maybe I'll try and find a pair this fall - I tried last year and the results were disastrous. This may be one of my favorite posts of all time!
Congrats! Can't wait for the faushionable wedding :)! Love the bag and fur!

Congrats Whit!! So happy for both of you. Glad Andrew found someone like you!
So excited for you! Love the outfit, but the ring was actually the first thing I noticed. I thought "wait a minute . . . " Enjoy everything that comes with it!
Congrats Whit! That is so exciting! And the more I follow your blog, the more I want to send you my measurements and money and have you style me! Let me know if that works for you, haha!
That bag is kind of my dream piece. Can't believe it's thrifted. Love the soft gray stole, too.
Thanks, everyone :)
